Community Connector Ōtaki
The Community Connector can assist whānau with a range of services:
- Supporting whānau with immediate hardship needs (when there are no other options)
- Connecting whānau to providers/organizations/rōpū that support overall whanau wellbeing and growth (Mental health, health, community, whanau support)
- Advocating alongside and on behalf of whānau who need a support person or an extra voice.
We work with whānau of all ages and walks of life, who live between Te Horo Beach and South Manakau (up to Forest Lakes).

Katene Morris
Kaitūhono hāpori - Community Connector for Ōtaki
Kia Ora, Ko Katene ahau. He uri tēnei nō Te Atiawa, nō Te Aitanga-A-Mahaki hoki. I grew up in Ōtaki as a teenager, and recently moved back as this is where I want to raise my 2, soon to be 3 tamariki. I have been with Te Puna Oranga o Ōtaki since early 2022 and have 9 years experience in the social services space. My passion is helping our whānau become the best versions of themselves and I am so lucky to be able to do this through my mahi.
